St. Clare High School Religious Ed Program is Welcome to the high school age members of all St. Clare families. Classes are held once a month and student attendance is vital. We meet the second Sunday of each month 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. We also encourage regular Mass attendance. Students are required to attend all classes. If an absence occurs in a year without make up class, the student will be asked to repeat the year. We take attendance seriously. Students who miss any class for any reason are required to attend a makeup class. We schedule as needed.

Service: is an integral part in the growth formation of every Christ follower. In light of this. 10 hours of volunteer service is required at each grad level. We encourage students to do service in more than one area. Many opportunities are offered to the students in thecourse of the year. Service is a visible way of putting faith in action, not merely words. Make sure you sign up at our next Religious Ed Class for the following:

Usher, Lector , Alter server, Choir, Greeter, at all Church Services & Street Fair, Family Reachout Night & Scheduled visits to Homeless Shelter (TBA)

Confirmation Candidates: - A meeting with sponsors and or Parents and Confirmandi will be required. Each candidate will be asked to name a sponsor early in the year, so we suggest they start considering who they would like to mentor them as a sponsor. A sponsor needs to be a practicing, confirmed Catholic. Parents are not eligible to be sponsors by canan law. During the course of preparation the candidate will be asked to consider whether they would like a special name of a Saint to be taken at Confirmation. This would be something else to consider ahead time. Baptismal names can be used if the candidate wishes. More information will be available at the meetings.

    Juniors need to:

  • Choose a sponsor
  • Decide on a Confirmation name
  • write a letter to the Archbishop
  • Choose and complete a service project or projects (see below)
  • Living Stations performance
